" It's a subject near and dear to many hearts drinking. Something. You missed them. Just drink. Martinis shaken -- stuff today we're gonna look into that subject. And turned to an expert someone who can talk about how restaurants are watering down their drink prices consumer racing in case here to talk more about it."
" Restaurants of course have really seen a sharp drop off a business the past couple of years because of the recession. They're trying to look for different ways to stay afloat to increase their profit margins things like that so now. What restaurants are doing and that this is everyone from that the fast casual places to the more high end restaurants. They are changing the way they approach their alcoholic beverages because as you note sales of but alcoholic beverages that accounts for a big chunk of what a restaurant makes -- a day. So they would they want to be able to hang on to that but also without. Losing customers -- developing other problems that way. So some restaurants have simply switch tactics are despite cheaper booths for the Margarita martini and every drinking. Others disagree with that they say no we're just gonna cut the price so what was. Eight dollar martini may be that knocked the price down just to six dollars not so those are some of those steps are taking."
" I wonder what degree to what degree attracting business clientele in -- Taking clients. To the restaurant is is playing and in this."
" It that it may well do that and that The Wall Street Journal article mentioned that these restaurants are doing their Rivera having longer happy hours and they're offering these discounted drinks a -- ideas. Get them in there. And ties them with these less expensive drinks and heck while they're there may be though. Order some appetizers or maybe even go down and then and have some dinners and other it's really just -- a -- to draw the man."
" The other night when I was out with my wife we actually. Went to a place a nice restaurant in town. Had a two drink minimum and the food prices yes that's it just ordered two drinks to alcoholic drinks. And then the food prices were like two dollar. Burgers other things that were on the normal menu. For as little as two to three dollars at a really nice restaurant and I was blown away by that it it almost reek of desperation."
" Imagine a mcdonalds served alcohol they do OK yes it's if you look at value menu it's over to the lack of value got you got tonight that that's that's interesting I'll I'll I'll I'll I'll out of here -- McCormick contracts -- look at let's that's a national chains and some other cities. But there's an analyst so they say that restaurants had to be careful when they're doing this because as a management -- out when it you away your profit margins but also. If you've been serving a five dollar drink for months and months and months and also and the recessions over and everything is looking great again. Consumers aren't necessarily be willing to or very happy if you hike the price back up -- people these days are getting used to the discounted prices -- set prices votes aren't racist right so maybe that the logic as well that were bringing them and with that with a low drink prices and hopefully they'll just. At a dessert or whatever to -- to there. To their ticket or maybe --"
" drank so much they won't remember what the priceless well that's a thought to. Our channel record out they were all remember -- and other branches are gone -- in consumer race and case thanks and thank."
