" That's right back -- maybe a decade ago -- you always know somebody who was the first one to -- I would ever latest geeky actually there was like a PDA or whatever there that. First on the block to have that while the rest of us were content to just. Sit back and see what happens is you are is that device goes. Combined PDA. Yeah you. So. That's Sandra day who knows something about -- together ego. But now a new study out from Forrester research says that basically we're all becoming big tech heads in geeks along those lines. We have the money to buy this stuff. We have the money and I think it's just a case people are more willing to become. -- you know the mainstream consumers -- more willing to embrace these things out. The Forrester research found that half of all American adults or video gamers thanks to the popularity of the Wii and some other systems like that. Two thirds of us have a broadband Internet connection at home three quarters of us have cellphones and PC's of course. And the number of households with an HDTV has jumped by 27% basically over the last years so and that number's expected to go up. Also interestingly enough this survey also found that. A lot more people are going online to biased up despite the recession online spending used overly strong. It's not necessarily. Teens or young adults and older people who I -- so finally. Accepted that online shopping is safe and secure so 20% of people in that category spent over a thousand dollars online the last few months so. People you know who have basically no knowledge of technology here walking around with iphones and I pods and Smartphones and other gadgets. Which are very user friends."
" They are remember when cell phones first came out there the size of a small car and now they've slimmed down to just a little teeny tiny things does. As you said I think is becoming more user friendly and meet people and also the prices in a lot of cases has come down so I think more people are willing to do that."
" Yeah I remember one time when as covering a mayoral race in New York City this was the early ninety's. And I had a huge cell phone calling into the desk. And at that time I was with mayor Dinkins and he looked at me like what is that things like -- second to blow up."
