Is trying to develop its book selling business sand."
" He had sure is that they do sell best sellers like Wal-Mart or Costco but what. Target has done asserted develop this new nation book new business. Where adults take an unknown author a book by an unknown author and highlighted they actually if you've been in a target -- don't take these books it's called bookmarks election. And the put it at the end of the -- where it stands out -- put a sign it's a book that's been published especially for a target. And the author of the book also. Writes a note to target shoppers and it. And at the New York Times points out target hopes to. Bring in hundreds of thousands of sales from this -- BS and so far it's been working that they'll be their state they cited a few cases where an author would show on back on the new York times -- book seller list and kind of -- way at the bottom and disappear target would pick it up and and salad and Heineken said highlighted. And it turns out to become the best seller just -- targets and now a lot of major book publishes. Have kind of perked up and notices and -- this geared toward. Well it's geared toward the typical target shopper women women with cancer and who as you mentioned earlier there and they're buying other things that make. Kind of wonder by the book -- in this book catches their -- Another thing that target does as opposed to may be -- Barnes & Noble. Every look at target. Is displayed phase out -- actually seem to cover. As opposed to looking at this fine and study it so while they carry a lot fewer books than a major book reseller would. You can actually see what the -- about -- a little blurb on the cover if you if you would -- like recovery might wanna buy it things like that but. Alum and I think basically having seen it a lot of it is chicklet. But hey if that it sells lineup and you factually been captivated by this I have I didn't realize side this is not an outlet pass up. A does I didn't realize this is a formal program by target because I've done exactly that had been in target I'm. Walk down that file and all. Stop in and start looking at the books on my kids are looking at the toys of the dvds -- I bought any number of books with the little label on it from target it says it's a bookmarks Lexington for 20% off and we're not talking about books that featured. Hunky guys wearing no shirts. Right now that well but they do so the romance novels but no these are more the it's it's it's the traded sized paper -- so it's more of the thoughtful literature that women go for. Media interest in music on a last it's been going on for four years also I think so. Despite the economy is Larry economy and that people are paying full price for any thinks that stands to reason that they're gonna wanna read a book that's been recommended. Put target does is they they get these books from the publishers and a panel target employees every month sits down decides which ones will be selected so. That -- people are gonna span 101214 bucks and a book they know it's sort of been vetted already and -- interrogators. Targeting I think they're targeting me. And -- about other retailers. I think other retailer I don't know like Costco and Wal-Mart I don't know that remain may be Wal-Mart would follow suit they can go to Wal-Mart the bookstore isn't. Really all that much to to look at Costco has it. And big placard saying that the right there to sound."
" Right next the the 32. Count case of yogurt right to -- it. I need all that yogurt I'd better get -- get some books -- oh no I would imagine Barnes & Noble borders of books a million have to be sweating a little."
" A little bit I mean you're gonna have more selection obviously -- and a big retail chains like that that. I suspect this is war and -- line like what I've done it parties in the book decide to buy you don't necessarily go to target to buy a book you just happen to -- it.
